YEP Lab March & April News

It's Spring in Eugene and our lab has been busy.

At the beginning of April, Dr. Sherry Bell and Raquel Amador shared our preliminary William T Grant findings “Combating Threats to Democracy: Educators invested in Social Justice Education in Turbulent Political Times” at the Community for Research and Social Action regional conference in Tacoma, Washington.

Raquel also presented her first-year project: “Exploring neighborhood characteristics as influences on perceived STEM opportunities for underserved youth” at the conference.

Next, we had a lovely in-person visit from Dr. Marieka Schotland (Executive Director for i4Y Innovations for Youth).

Then, our amazing undergraduate research team successfully submitted their proposals for the Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Raquel Amador presented her award-winning project to the Psychology department.

Lastly, Dr. Kornbluh and Bell successfully launched an open-source database that provides example YPAR IRB applications. Here, is the link to check it out: https://osf.io/4j3sb/
